Bio

Christine Lyon is a mixed media visual artist and educator from Los Angeles, California, currently practicing as a full-time Professor of Painting in Atlanta, GA. Drawing from her creative armory, she reexamines figurative traditions in western art and media using a range of materials and methods including acrylic and oil painting, etching, silkscreen and monotype printing, mixed-media sculpture, and various digital and analog approaches to illustration and collage.

Christine has a history as a scenic artist for live, televised and filmed productions, as well as in art education, from elementary to college level, as a teacher and administrator. She has enjoyed contributing to community projects, exhibitions, publications, and private collections across San Francisco, Los Angeles, London, Montreal, Yonkers, Brooklyn, and New York City. She looks forward to continuing and expanding upon these partnerships.
